Information on piano lessons

Piano lessons:

As a piano teacher I offer a professional service in a dedicated studio away from the distractions of home. All lessons are on a one-to-one basis allowing me to fully tailor tuition to each individual student.
I believe lessons should be enjoyable and should achieve what the student seeks from their lessons; whether that's exams and qualifications or just an enjoyable pastime, whether a beginner or an experienced player looking to improve a specific skill.  I do not follow a prescriptive or preset path as everyone learns in a different way.
I teach classical piano, jazz piano and music theory (or any combination).

CRB / DBS Checks:

I hold a full enhanced CRB / DBS check.

Timetable:

Lessons are usually half an hour once a week (longer lessons are usually required when learning at an advanced level). Subject to current availability, our lessons run on weekdays, at weekends and during the evening. Students are generally given their own regular weekly slot.  For those students who may not be able to make the same time every week (because of shift patterns for example) we have the flexibility to vary your lesson time/day each week, depending on availability.

Lesson Fees:

Our lessons are £14.00 per half hour. Fees are paid monthly at the beginning of each calendar month, covering lessons in the month ahead. An invoice is provided at the start of each block of lessons showing fees and any other charges (for example exam fees or music supplied).
There is a one-off registration fee of £5.00 added to the first invoice. Invoices can be paid by cash, cheque or online.  Details are provided on every invoice.
