Piano Lessons

I offer a professional service in my own dedicated studio away from the distractions of home.  All lessons are on a one-to-one basis allowing me to fully tailor tuition to each individual student in terms of the content, the teaching methods and the style of the music you wish to learn.  Classical piano, rock & pop hits, musicals, jazz improvisation and music theory - whatever you'd like to learn I will focus your lessons on.

I believe lessons should be enjoyable for everyone and should achieve what the student seeks from their lessons; whether that's exams and qualifications or just an enjoyable pastime, if you’re a beginner or an experienced player looking to improve a specific skill.  I do not follow a prescriptive or preset path as everyone learns in a different way.

I offer Piano Lessons, Jazz Piano Lessons, and Music Theory Lessons (or any combination of these taught together).

CRB/DBS Check

I hold a full enhanced check.

Timetable

Lessons are usually half an hour once a week (longer lessons may be required when learning at an advanced level). Subject to current availability, lessons run on weekdays, at weekends and during the evening.  Students are generally given their own regular weekly slot but for those who may not be able to make the same time every week (because of shift patterns for example) I teach full time, so have the flexibility to vary your lesson time/day each week, depending on availability.

Lesson Fees

Lessons are £17 per half hour.  Fees are paid monthly at the beginning of each calendar month, covering lessons in the month ahead.  An invoice is provided at the start of each block of lessons showing fees and any other charges (for example exam fees or music supplied).

Invoices can be paid by Credit/Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Online Banking or Cash.  Details for each payment method are shown on every invoice.
