November 2020 - Suspending face to face lessons

Unfortunately following the announcement regarding the new lockdown on Saturday 31 October I have decided it's going to be sensible to suspend all face to face lessons and return to online lessons only - with immediate effect.

Once again I am in the process of contacting all students individually so if you haven’t heard from me yet I will be in touch soon to make arrangements with you. 

I’m hoping we can review this again at the end of November for December but the safety of students, my family and myself will always be the main priority.

Update for piano lessons - latest COVID-19 rules:

Under the current guidance we CAN continue face to face lessons with our precautions in place.

Any students who would rather switch to online lessons can at any time - just let me know.

The rules and guidance are obviously changing frequently so if the situation changes and I need to switch to all online lessons I will contact students and parents directly ASAP. I will also update the news section of my website at https://www.consettmusictuition.co.uk/News---Updates if anything changes.

COVID-19 safety during face-to-face lessons

Current procedures to keep face-to-face lessons as ‘COVID-19 safe’ as possible:

(This page will be updated to reflect any changes in guidance so please check back regularly)
 

• Wear a face mask if possible on entering the building
• For your safety I will also be wearing a face mask during all lessons
• Use handsanitizer or wash your hands before AND after your lessons
• The studio (including piano keys) will be cleaned between every lesson
• The studio has been rearranged to keep student and teacher 2 metres apart
• There will be an extra piano so as to avoid sharing an instrument between student/teacher
• MAXIMUM of 1 parent/guardian accompanying students in their lessons
• Unfortunately there is now no waiting area so no one can wait in the building during lessons (other than 1 parent/guardian in the lesson)
